To travel the world is a big dream of many. For most people, though, it will always remain just a dream. Far too often something comes in between, be it a new job, a partnership, the family or just life.
Adventurous Kate aka. Kate McCulley, however, has realized her dream and travels the world for living. For over nine now, the today 35-years-old adventurer travels around the world and has already discovered 83 countries and all seven continents - and that most of the time solo. Quite impressive, I think!
With her blog, Kate focused on a quite specific topic that attracted my attention right from the beginning: traveling alone as an independent woman.
I bet that just about every woman has heard the following sentence: "That's not safe! You can't go there alone." What exactly does that mean? That I should just give up my travel plans and stay at home? That I should travel only with a strong man at my side or that I should fly only to Mallorca because it's safe there? No! Also as a woman you can very well realize great trips on your own. And this is exactly Kate's vision and mission: to show other women how to get the best out of their travel plans safely and without fear.
Kate dedicates herself with much passion, enthusiasm and empathy to the concerns of her community and reports authentically, openly and honestly about her experiences during her many past journeys.
To me, Kate is an impressive woman whose blog I follow with great joy. She reports her experiences honestly, approachable and with infinite charm. She constantly inspires me to add new places to my very personal bucket list.
No surprising that Kate has been named one of the 10 most influental travelers by Forbes in 2017.
Follow her blog and instagram for inspiration, tips or just a daily gateway - I promise, it is worth it.
Cheers,
Joanna
